Secret Neighbor is a multiplayer game based on the famous Hello Neighbor horror title. In this game, you’re challenged to join one of two parties: the kids gang or the Neighbor himself.

The action takes place inside his eerie house, and you can rely either on amazing team work and investigative skills or on the trickery and sabotage mastery. Choose what you like best.

Trapped Kiddies

Basically, Secret Neighbor is a multiplayer hide-n-seek. On one side, we have  a bunch of children who need to escape the cursed house in a strange fashion — by entering the basement. The nasty mustache villain will try to lay his hands on them.

You get the following character classes to choose from:

  • Bagger. Can carry one extra item.
  • Brave. Has a chance to escape the Neighbor’s clutch.
  • Detective. Gets photos, which indicate where the keys that lead to salvation are hidden.
  • Inventor. Can craft toy weapons to stun the Neighbor.
  • Leader. Increases the team’s speed movement.
  • Scout. Has a slingshot.

It’s up to your squad how you will use the resources that come with each character. Things get more interesting when your team is less than 6 players — you’ll have to design a winning strategy while being limited in ways and means.

The team’s goal is to locate and collect 6 keys that are scattered throughout the map randomly.

Mustache of Evil

Neighbor can’t be underestimated by any means. He plays solo against the Kids Squad. And this loner status grants him some impressive talents and skills.

For instance, he can turn into one of the house items: a floor lamp, tree plants, old baroque chair, grandpa’s clocks, and so on. What’s even cooler, he can move while being under this disguise.

This allows to lay ambushes more effectively, especially when the kids have to split up while scavenging for the keys.

Another ability allows him to lay traps that stun children. Stunning makes them motionless and extra vulnerable — basically they can’t defend themselves and as you snatch another kid, he/she turns into a pile of the Missing Kid posters — only the Brave has a chance to resist.

Rage ability makes Neighbor berserk after he gets hit 5 times in a row. While under Rage, he becomes invincible and no weapon can stop him. But this doesn’t last too long.

You can also choose his alter ego — the Clown. It unlocks a different skill set. For starters, use a smoke bomb, which limits the kids’ vision greatly. Second, Confusion is a passive skill, which doesn’t let kids fight back for some time after they escape from the Clown’s grip.

A Prequel

All in all, it’s a satisfying multiplayer game, which puts your investigating skills to a good test. The game explains which events lead to the original Hello Neighbor’s premise.

In 2021, they are going to release a sequel dubbed Secret Neighbor: Hello Neighbor Multiplayer. In this game, you’ll finally be able to dig in the Hello Neighbor events with your friends online.
