Prior to the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there's an opportunity to grab the entire RPG trilogy for just $10, made possible through a sale on Steam.
If you're intrigued by BioWare's cherished fantasy RPG series, this Steam franchise sale offers a very affordable entry point with significant discounts.
The entire Dragon Age trilogy is marked down by 90% on Steam. This translates to Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2, each priced at $3, and Dragon Age Inquisition at $4. The total cost for the whole series is $10, and each title comes bundled with its respective DLC packs, ensuring a complete experience. These discounts are valid until June 27.
The trilogy maintains a lot of storyline continuity—you can even carry over your saves from one game to another, allowing your choices to impact the narrative like Mass Effect. Each game offers distinct gameplay experiences and storytelling styles. Origins is a dark fantasy epic with traditional CRPG elements reminiscent of Baldur's Gate 3, while Two focuses more on action combat and a more adventurous tone. Inquisition, meanwhile, adopts a modern open-world RPG approach set in a high fantasy world.
Completing the entire trilogy before the launch of The Veilguard later this year will require a substantial time commitment, as each game can take anywhere from 30 to 100 hours. If you're pressed for time, you could jump directly into Inquisition. Although you might miss some lore and character background, Inquisition's main plot stands largely on its own and will prepare you well for the events at the beginning of The Veilguard.
