Samsung Electronics’ Brand Value Makes Double-Digit Increase

Samsung Electronics’ brand value has increased by double digits, taking a spot in the top five global brands list for 2022.

The world’s leading technology company announced on Tuesday that its brand value had reached $61.4 billion as of December 31, 2022, up 11.4 percent from a year earlier.

This is the first time that Samsung Electronics has been included in the top five of the annual list compiled by brand consultancy Interbrand.

The other companies in the top five are Amazon, Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

Samsung Electronics’ brand value had been on the rise in recent years but took a hit in 2020 due to the pandemic.

The company recovered quickly, however, and its brand value grew at a faster pace than its competitors.

“Samsung Electronics’ brand value growth was driven by its strong performance in the global smartphone market and its continued leadership in the semiconductor industry,” said Interbrand in a statement.

The company’s brand value is expected to continue to grow in the coming years as it expands its 5G offerings and launches new products in the artificial intelligence and foldable smartphone markets.
